The course will be held on the South Campus of the University at Buffalo in the MASTTAR laboratory facility. The lab is housed in the Biomedical Rescearch Building and has six endoscopic surgical stations for live animal work utlizing the latest high-definition video towers supplied by our sponsors. Participants will work in small groups with a faculty member. The animals are anesthetized and monitored during the sessions by our team of veternarians. Our facility also maintains a 'dry lab' where participants can practice laparoscopic skills on inanimate models. The dry lab is located adjacent to the surgical lab and faculty will be available for teaching at these stations. Classroom facilities are located in the adjacent Medical School complex. All classrooms and lecture halls at the University at Buffalo are wired for video and powerpoint presentations. |
